Manual apprenticeships are unfortunately a thing of the past these days.

I have built this course based on the skills and techniques I learnt as a manual lathe apprentice back in 1991.

You will learn everything I was taught as an aerospace apprentice and much more in this online mini-apprenticeship.

Over 4 years of machine training condensed into one online course.

This Lathe training course covers everything you need to be able to operate your Lathe with precision and confidence.

  • Safety
  • Tooling
  • Every operation explained in detail
  • Advanced techniques such as off-centre turning and steadies.
  • Taught by a time-served aerospace journeyman
  • Learn the correct way to turn
  • Includes both theory lessons and 'at the machine' instructions with project parts to push your skills.

    Turn with confidence

  • Machine lengths accurately every time
  • Know that the diameter will be correct before you take the cut
